Primary Growth Behavior of Sulfur Particles through the Throttle Valve in the Transmission System of High Sulfur Content Natural Gas

The deposition of sulfur particles in gathering and transportation pipeline system can cause serious safety problems economic losses. When the high content natural gas (HSCNG) flows through throttle valve system, it will supersaturation elemental phase, then crystal nuclei appear system. Studying initial growth behavior lay a necessary prerequisite for accurate prediction particle (HSCNGGT) pipelines. Based on homogeneous nucleation theory crystallization kinetics, mathematical model was established. Taking throttling condition process HSCNGGT as an example, effects temperature, pressure H2S concentration HSCNG critical radius rate were explored. results show that: (1) after sulfur, with nanoscale be precipitated. temperature have great influence radius, is more complex. (2) also rate. By solving kinetics based Brownian condensation, found that nano-sized grow into micron-sized very short time.
